Meet Our Principal
Mr. Warren Sedar, Principal
I started working in Redwood City as a bilingual teacher 25 years ago. Prior to coming to Adelante Selby Spanish Immersion School, I taught at Kennedy Middle School and then I worked as the Assistant Principal at MIT. I was then named the Principal at North Star Academy and worked there for 2 years. I then worked as the Principal at Kennedy Middle School for 10 years. My goal is for Adelante Selby Spanish Immersion to be the best possible school for all our students. During their time at Adelante Selby, students will grow academically as they develop as caring, healthy, bilingual, and productive individuals. We have a great and caring staff and a vibrant parent community with so many resources on campus to help our students reach these goals.
Adelante Selby has a wide variety of extracurricular, enrichment opportunities to help students develop their talents: Art in Action, Music for Minors, Dance, Guitar Class, Garden, Baile Folclórico, Theater, Talent Show, and Physical Education. In addition, the after school programs available provide an educational and enriching environment for many of our students until 6pm. For the next five years, the Sobrato Foundation has selected Adelante Selby for a unique grant to further develop our academic program in Kinder, first, second and third grades. Adelante Selby Spanish Immersion School has so many opportunities for our students and families. I hope you take advantage of them all!
I live in San Francisco with my wife Zuceli and have two daughters: Elena and Samantha. I enjoy sports, hiking, reading, and running.
