Community School Coordinator - Luna, Jose

About Me:

Hello, my name is Jose Luna, this is my second year as the Community School Coordinator here at Adelante Selby. I started my career in education here at RCSD in 2011 as an Instructional Aid at Adelante Spanish Immersion. Once I completed my degree in Public Relations at Cal State Northridge, I returned to RCSD as a substitute teacher.

I spent a few years as a Family Engagement Outreach and Equity Specialist for Hayward Unified School District, which is where I grew up and went to school. Two years ago, I  returned to RCSD as a Community School Coordinator. 

In my free time you will find me in the kitchen trying out a recipe I  found on TikTok, binge watching reality tv, looking for a new restaurant in town, planning a trip, playing with my dogs or trying to read one of the many books on my nightstand.
